Meet Barkin Duman who has recently joined the Datamine team in Ankara, Turkey, as a Technical Support Representative – Mining Engineering.

Get to know Barkin a little better through the interview below:

Can you tell us a bit about yourself?

I was born and raised in Ankara, Turkey. I graduated from Middle East Technical University Mining Engineering in 2022. I started my career in Datamine as a Technical Support team member.

What inspired your career in this industry?

Mining in Turkey is elusive treasure rich in minerals. I saw the fusion of Engineering and the Nature, and I was amazed by this combination. That’s way I was willing to become a part of it.

What is the most satisfying aspect of your role / the work you do?

After solving many questions and problems, getting positive feedbacks from clients and companies, is very satisfying and pleasing. Also, constant learning processes with the clients and improving myself is indispensable happiness.

What’s a fun fact about you?

I play electro, acoustic guitar, and Ukulele. Music is my passion, my friends can never see me without headphones.
