DataBlast 2.12 Public Release

PLANNING-DataBlast-2.12

DataBlast 2.12 delivers smarter imports and CAD controls, textured wireframe support, a new Sandvik OptiMine interface for hole design export and drill log import, and streamlined installation with the Datamine Table Editor included when required.

In the Design module, you can now map CSV drill pattern columns to custom properties configured with a Target of Hole and Data Types of Boolean, Decimal, Integer or String, then save that mapping in an import template to reuse. You can import textured wireframe data from PLY, OBJ, DM or DMX files, and if a file contains multiple textures, you’ll be prompted to either import each texture as its own wireframe or bring in a single non-textured wireframe. A new progress bar keeps you informed of the wireframe import status from start to finish.

Printing is clearer and faster to control with an update to CAD: you can open Layer Control while in print mode to show or hide layers specifically for the print or PDF. This makes it easy to declutter pattern and analysis outputs without leaving print mode.

This release also introduces the Sandvik OptiMine interface. You can export hole designs from both DataBlast Pro and DataBlast Ignite to Sandvik systems, while DataBlast Pro adds the ability to import drill logs back from Sandvik.

To simplify setup, the DataBlast Pro Workstation and Ignite installers now include the Datamine Table Editor when required, ensuring DM and DMX files open correctly without any extra installation steps. These improvements focus on usability so you can work more efficiently from import through to reporting.

About DataBlast

DataBlast covers the entire open pit drill and blast (D&B) process, from design to firing, using CAD-based design tools and an intuitive user interface. Used by D&B engineers and operators, DataBlast enables detailed D&B pattern design and efficient management of field operations, including drilling, quality assurance, charging, and initiation. DataBlast ensures safe, consistent, and high-quality blasting with features like firing simulations, contour and charge analysis, and vibration modelling. DataBlast Pro, a multi-user system, includes field data capture and a reporting data source, integrating seamlessly with BlastPad for complete control over D&B implementations. DataBlast Ignite, a stand-alone desktop solution, offers the same design tools and incorporates field data without the need for additional IT infrastructure.
