MODERN SLAVERY STATEMENT
This statement provides information about Datamine Corporate Ltd. (“Datamine”) and applies to all the companies listed in Appendix 1 to this statement (collectively referred to as the “Datamine Group”).
We, the Datamine Group, are committed to improving our practices to combat slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chain. This Modern Slavery Statement describes how the Datamine Group meets our commitment to prohibit human trafficking and forced labour in our operations.
Our business and supply chain
Business and Structure
Datamine is a wholly owned subsidiary of Constellation Software Inc. (“CSI”), a Canadian public company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol “CSU”. CSI is an international provider of market-leading software and services to several industries, both in the public and private sectors. Its mission is to acquire, manage, and build market-leading software businesses that develop specialised, mission-critical software solutions. The Datamine Group sells software and services primarily to the mining industry.
Supply Chain
Major supply chains of the Datamine Group include both local and international provision of:
- Cloud infrastructure and hosting services;
- Third-party software and components; and
- Consulting and professional advisory services.
Our policies
We have appropriate policies in place that underpin our commitment to ensure that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business. We continuously review and update all our policies. This includes our Code of Conduct, Whistleblower Policy, and providing access to a third-party ethics hotline.
Due diligence and auditing
The Datamine Group has processes to mitigate the risks of modern slavery in its operations and supply chain, including management oversight of supplier engagement alongside the above-noted policies.
Our risk assessment
Based on our assessment, we consider the overall risk of modern slavery within our direct operations to be low.
Key performance indicators (KPIs)
The Datamine Group monitors compliance with our policies on an ongoing basis.
Training
To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and our business, we are in the process of rolling out training to our staff.
This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes Datamine Group’s slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending December 31, 2023. It was approved by the board.
