Discover for ArcGIS Pro 2.3 Update 2 introduces enhanced drillhole planning, section workflows, raster processing and legend management, together with ArcGIS Pro 3.7 support, updated acQuire integration and a range of usability and defect fixes.
The Drillhole Planner now supports multiple deviations downhole, allowing you to define different rates of deviation at specific depths and better represent how planned holes may curve through changing geology. You can also display key drillhole information, including azimuth, dip and depth, directly on planned holes in 3D and section views. For strip logs, new depth scaling controls let you define a depth-to-page-unit ratio so long drillholes can be displayed at a practical scale within your layout.
Several new and improved tools help streamline section and interpretation workflows. The new Structure to Section tool projects structural point data onto selected sections and displays the apparent structure orientation in section context. Generate Section now includes a progress dialog so you can monitor processing when working with multiple sections or large datasets, while improved Section Manager error messages provide more information about affected sections, drillhole projects, topography and feature class paths to make troubleshooting easier.
Legend and raster workflows have also been expanded. You can now create legends directly from Excel or CSV data sheet columns containing RGB values, HEX codes or colour definitions, removing the need to manually recreate existing spreadsheet-based legends. The Canny Edge Detection tool can now generate either raster or vector output, with the output settings adapting to your selected format.
This release adds support for ArcGIS Pro 3.7 and updates the acQuire integration to C++ SDK version 4.6.6.2. It also resolves issues affecting planned drillholes in 3D, section generation with geographic coordinate systems, surface drape attributes, downhole data display and project switching, raster processing with certain file names and coordinate systems, and the handling of null values in Assign Values.
