Role Overview
The Implementation and Support Consultant – Exploration Solutions is responsible for the successful deployment, configuration, training, and ongoing support of Datamine’s exploration portfolio, including Discover, LandTrack, and Fusion.
While the initial focus of this role will be on Discover and LandTrack, the consultant will also support broader exploration solutions, particularly Fusion, reflecting client demand and revenue growth across the exploration portfolio.
This role works closely with exploration and geology teams to understand drill hole, geological database, land management, and compliance workflows, ensuring solutions are implemented effectively and deliver measurable business value. The consultant acts as a trusted advisor, combining technical expertise with strong communication and training skills across the full software lifecycle—from implementation to post-go-live support.

Key Responsibilities
Implementation & Configuration
- Lead the implementation of Datamine exploration solutions, including Discover, LandTrack, and Fusion.
- Configure drill hole, geological database, land tenure, and exploration data workflows to meet client requirements.
- Work with clients to understand business processes and translate them into effective system configurations.
- Support data migration activities, including data assessment, cleansing guidance, loading, and validation.
- Configure workflows, templates, and system settings aligned with operational and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal product, development, support, and project teams to resolve implementation issues.
Training & Enablement
- Deliver end-user and administrator training for exploration solutions, both onsite and remotely.
- Develop and tailor training materials based on client workflows and experience levels.
- Support user adoption through best-practice guidance, workflow optimisation, and post-training follow-ups.
- Act as a subject matter expert during workshops, demonstrations, and solution walkthroughs.
Support & Ongoing Services
- Provide post-implementation support, including troubleshooting, configuration assistance, and user guidance.
- Respond to client support requests and manage issues through to resolution, escalating where required.
- Assist clients with upgrades, enhancements, and optimisation of existing exploration systems.
- Conduct system health checks and usage reviews to ensure ongoing value.
Client & Project Engagement
- Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted technical and functional advisor.
- Support project planning, including scope definition, effort estimation, and delivery timelines.
- Document configurations and client-specific processes to support continuity and knowledge transfer.
- Identify opportunities for additional services, training, or solution enhancements and communicate them to account teams.

Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in software implementation, consulting, or technical support roles.
- Experience with geological database, drill hole management, exploration GIS, or land management solutions (e.g. Datamine Discover, Fusion, LandTrack, acQuire, Seequent, MX Deposit, or similar).
- Background in geology, GIS, mining, earth sciences, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience delivering client training and workshops.
- Understanding of exploration workflows, geological data management, and spatial data concepts.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Comfortable working directly with clients in a consulting or professional services environment.
- Willingness to travel as required.

Technical Skills (Preferred)
- Geological databases and drill hole data management.
- GIS platforms (MapInfo Pro, ArcGIS Pro, or similar).
- Database and data management concepts.
- CRM or ticketing systems for support case management.
- Experience with cloud or hybrid software deployments.
