Meet Nilüfer Kerse who has recently joined the Datamine team in Ankara, Turkey, as a Technical Support Representative – Mining Engineering.

Get to know Nilüfer a little better through the interview below:

Can you tell us a bit about yourself?

I was born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey.  I graduated from Hacettepe University Mining Engineering in 2022 and started my career in Datamine as a Technical Support team member.

What inspired your career in this industry?

Turkey is rich in minerals.  My interest in nature since I was a child allowed me to be part of the mining industry.

What is the most satisfying aspect of your role / the work you do?

I am considered first-line support.  This allows me to build strong customer relationships.  Solving customer support queries on the fly has made me confident in my role.  Solving their queries and getting a happy feedback from the client is very satisfying.  Learning new skills in my profession early on in my career is an added benefit.

What’s a fun fact about you?

I am a cat lover. I would take every homeless cat and give them home, if I could. I like to use quotes from movies in everyday conversations.
