Studio Geo 1.3 Public Release

GEOLOGY-Studio-Geo-1.3

Studio Geo 1.3 makes geological modelling feel faster, clearer and more connected. This release brings a substantial set of platform improvements, including better graphics performance with a new drillhole rendering engine under the hood, and faster processing overall, particularly across macro-driven modelling workflows. The result is a slicker day-to-day experience, especially when working with larger drillhole datasets, complex wireframes and process-based workflows.

A major theme of this release is consistency. Legends and geological colouring are now easier to manage through the Dynamic Modelling Legends control bar, helping users keep drillholes, contact points, surfaces, veins, categorical models and block model outputs aligned. This reduces manual clean-up and makes interpretation easier to follow throughout the workflow.

Vein modelling has also been refined, with improved controls for managing hangingwall and footwall contacts where gaps should be included within the vein model. Instead of relying on an ignore gap setting, users can now control which contacts are used, so the outermost hangingwall and footwall contacts in a selected interval define the vein boundary more predictably. This helps users constrain vein models more consistently to the geological area of interest.

Studio Geo 1.3 also improves the practical interpretation workflow. New multiple-section tools make it easier to create, save and return to consistent section views, while improved drillhole selection gives more direct control when assigning lithology to drillholes, including selections that extend to adjacent samples within an interval.

New multiple-section tools make model analysis and data clipping really easy

Behind the scenes, several core processes now run faster without requiring workflow or macro changes. Together with continued graphics, ribbon, Mapper import and documentation updates, Studio Geo 1.3 is designed to help geologists spend less time managing the software and more time building models they can trust.
