Building a ROM Model with Dilution and Loss in MineScape 

In this webinar, we’ll explore how to generate accurate Run-of-Mine (ROM) reserves in MineScape by applying mineable thickness and quality constraints to in-situ models. We’ll clarify the difference between using thickness or percentage values for loss and dilution, and demonstrate how to apply these factors using either direct values or spatial surfaces. You’ll learn how to generate ROM outputs and compare them with in-situ reserve reports to understand the impact of mining assumptions. Additionally, we’ll visualize mining blocks updated with new attributes—such as loss volume, dilution volume, and ROM mass—providing a clear view of how these adjustments influence planning and reporting.

• Understanding the difference between thickness, percentage of the loss, and dilution factors
