The Amine 2.7.5 release delivers significant updates to database structure, login and security systems, workflow tools, and import capabilities – setting the stage for improved automation, streamlined data handling, and enhanced operational security.
Before applying this update, it’s essential to update your Amine databases to maintain compatibility. This can be done by executing the provided SQL script or by launching Amine with administrative permissions post-installation. Key changes include encrypted password storage in the Manager database, support for Windows login mapping, and new columns added to support mine naming conventions and survey integration. These modifications not only bolster security but also support improved user management across multi-site environments.
Security has been substantially upgraded with encrypted password handling for both databases and INI files. Combined with new support for Microsoft sign-on, this removes the need for manually managing credentials and allows administrators to control login and licensing policies directly within the DBConfig tool. These features simplify access, strengthen compliance with enterprise-level security standards, and reduce administrative overhead.
New tools like the redesigned Create Sections function and the expanded D-Code Sequencer help you enforce naming standards and automate the generation of section layers. This reduces manual setup time and ensures consistency in large, multi-layer drawing environments. Enhancements to batch import, particularly remembering previous settings and supporting multiple survey file types, make it easier to integrate external data quickly and accurately.
Additional improvements include a new Start Page with quick access to recent projects, documentation, and support, as well as UI enhancements like the ability to open local help files, add drill hole reference markers, and import Deswik design files. Updates to the Survey module enhance polyline joining accuracy and streamline import setup, while the Centerline tool has been refined for cleaner annotations. Further usability gains include consistent DMX/DM file saving preferences, more intelligent backup handling in layer management, and validation of memo entries to ensure cleaner logs.
