This is a great update for Studio OP customers. Whilst smaller in scope than the behemoth 3.0 major update last year, 3.1 delivers important core engine improvements.
A new command, assign-attributes-by-selection-order, allows numeric attributes to be assigned to loaded data that indicate a path and direction. For example, assigning a bench index to a pit shell, or assigning a blast hole row ID throughout a blast pattern. A sequential index can also be useful to create spatial indices that can be used for dependency creation for operational scheduling, to guide schedule sequencing, or to map different areas of the reserve or mine.
Custom coordinate transformations arrive with this update. Define your own transformation logic that automatically calculates the transformation between source and target systems. The resulting transformation matrix can be saved and shared with others.
We have overhauled the vector export command to provide support for a wider range of data configurations and to improve accuracy for all exported data types.
You also get new and improved processes and commands, such as more options for EXTRA (the multi purpose expression translator), ALPHCODE (to convert between field types in physical files), create-planar-rectangle (using precise dimensions), RANDOM (a new random number generator) and TRANSCO for file-based coordinate system transformations.
Other worthy additions and improvements include Deswik® unified format import and export and, by popular demand, custom 3D window highlight colours!
About Studio OP
Studio OP is a comprehensive solution for short- and medium-term planning of open pit mines, offering mine planners a flexible environment for automated reserve generation, pit design, and scheduling. Its sophisticated algorithms and lightning fast unique rules-based automated pit design functionality has transformed mine engineers’ ability to produce and compare multiple alternative designs and layouts. The Auto Scheduler produces achievable schedules with desired financial outcomes, product blend specifications, and realistic equipment movement, requiring minimal manual intervention. Schedules can be exported to EPS for communication and reporting. Ideal for tactical mine planners, Studio OP helps produce optimal medium-term plans, budgets, and detailed short-term operational schedules, ensuring the best possible outcomes for your organisation.
