Centric 2.19 delivers a major step forward in usability, security, and deployment flexibility, combining features originally slated for version 2.18 into a single, streamlined release.
This release reflects the insights gained from three major projects over the past six months, with new capabilities shaped to meet real-world operational demands. Enhancements to Centric’s user interface and workflow not only improve day-to-day productivity but also bring a more intuitive, modern feel to the application. Multi-column panel layouts now support complex operations, while a revamped favourites system, Excel-style filters, and new keyboard shortcuts streamline navigation and data capture. Record editing and management are also faster and more flexible, thanks to new context menus, customisable copy actions, and enhanced selection controls.
Centric 2.19 also brings significant workflow automation and control improvements. Features like record splitting, form-based traversals, and user-defined form views offer greater flexibility and efficiency in data handling. A new approval and rejection workflow via email, paired with Microsoft Graph API integration, simplifies oversight and communication. Updates to conditional formatting—including locking, clearing, and re-sequencing rules—enable more dynamic and targeted data presentation, while filter locking features strike a balance between user flexibility and administrative control.
Deployment is now faster and more consistent across teams. The ability to copy full form configurations—including views and conditional formatting—makes setting up new forms quicker than ever. New branding and layout controls allow Centric to be visually tailored to suit customer themes or to integrate smoothly with the wider Datamine Production suite. These changes help Regional Service Delivery teams deploy Centric as part of the Port to Pit solution more easily and efficiently.
Security and auditability have also been enhanced, with role-based API authentication and detailed execution logging now standard. Single Sign-On improvements deepen integration with Azure AD, streamlining user provisioning and access management. Flat form audit trails now visually display who changed what and when, improving traceability. Together, these updates make Centric 2.19 a powerful, flexible, and secure platform for production data management.
