Studio UG 3.4 Public Release

PLANNING-Studio-UG-3.4

Here are some highlights from the latest Studio UG release – Datamine’s toolkit for underground mine design and scheduling.

The big news is an overhaul of the Stope Reconciliation tools, streamlining them into a single console and introducing key improvements, including a choice of wireframe Boolean and model depletion reconciliation methods, batch run support, much quicker processing, unified settings screen and improved overbreak and underbreak reporting.

A new command arrives for attributing point, string and wireframe data by selection order. This is perfect for incrementing numeric attributes along a path, such as a development drive string, or assigning a blasthole row ID throughout a blast pattern. It’s really flexible and will be available in all Studio products soon.

Planning workflow filters can now be included in other filters, greatly extending their use. For example, you can create a filter that includes a list of FXS design definitions to exclude from a more general *FXS filter.

Otherwise, there are several core improvements including new commands, vector data export improvements, custom coordinate transformations (and a new TRANSCO process) and data transfer improvements such as a vector data export overhaul and a Deswik® data driver.

About Studio UG

Studio UG is an integrated underground design and scheduling solution that provides mine engineers a streamlined experience from data preparation to scheduled activities. Its intuitive workflow supports long- and short-term planners, offering powerful tools for stope/reserves optimisation, mine design, planning, evaluation, and reporting. Studio UG features a unique single-step process for generating all scheduled activities from source data, ensuring efficiency and robustness for underground operations. Studio UG incorporates mine standards into templates, allowing multiple mine planners to work simultaneously and avoid redundancies, while synchronised block model views and point cloud representations help them visualise all aspects of the underground mine. Integrated scheduling features enable rapid updates with design changes, preserving manual interventions and enhancing productivity.
