Studio RM and Studio EM leap forwards again with these impressive updates from Datamine. We’ve had excellent suggestions from customers resulting in new features and several improvements in both geology-focused and core system areas.
The ever-popular Drillhole Importer goes from strength to strength with this update introducing streamline table reimport, collar and topography adherence checks, table previews, creating holes from loaded component data and loads of other quality-of-life improvements such as new quick keys and more quick fix options. Drillhole Importer is available in Studio RM and Studio EM.
Implicit modelling functions in Studio RM benefit from a host of improvements. In addition to improved performance generally, editing samples is now quicker and easier and you have more control over how collar and end-of-hole points are considered in modelling. We’ve also introduced custom fitting planes for each modelling value, meaning batch runs can use the most appropriate plane for each value and other changes to make life easier. And, by popular request, you can now change the colour of your hangingwall and footwall points.
Estimation also has enhancements with unfolding in Advanced Estimation and several process improvements, including a ZONE field in ANISOANG to help with batch runs.
Studio RM 2.2 introduces the new Project Data bar. This control bar, the first for many years, extends the functions of the Project Files bar to segregate data more appropriately for geologists. We plan to extend this further in later releases to include loaded data and overlay functions.
Studio EM users also get access to the Map Import tool, allowing a seamless connection between a Studio Mapper database and your Studio EM project. Import data in full, or according to mine, area, data type or date range.
Otherwise, there are several core improvements including custom coordinate transformations (and a new TRANSCO process), downhole image improvements, attribution by selection order, and useful data transfer improvements such as a vector data export overhaul, a MineScape Stratmodel importer and a Deswik® data driver.
