The v2025-r1 release of CCLAS 6 introduces a range of infrastructure enhancements and new features designed to improve laboratory efficiency and control. This release gives laboratory managers and staff greater flexibility in processing samples, with improved tools for managing key operational dates such as “received” and “required”, and more precise control over workflow statuses for tasks and tests.
Enhancements to the Workbook application allow users to review results from multiple jobs simultaneously, including QC samples within those jobs. Instrument details are now retained even after results are recalculated or amended, ensuring consistent traceability to the original analysing instrument—critical for maintaining historical QC integrity.

Formula execution has been improved to protect validated results from unintended recalculation. Once approved by QC supervisors, these results remain unchanged, providing greater confidence in data accuracy.
The placement of QC samples within jobs is now more flexible, supporting complex protocols by allowing users to reposition sample groups as a block in the analysis list. This streamlines workflows and better aligns with laboratory requirements.
Updates to the Invoicing Engine have resolved several edge cases that previously required manual review. Invoicing charges are now calculated more accurately, reducing the need for operator intervention during invoice preparation and approval.
Reporting has also been enhanced to allow multiple reports to be generated at once for the same job, significantly improving efficiency for operators issuing certificates of analysis.
This release includes several infrastructure upgrades, including updates to system libraries to maintain compatibility with evolving technology. Performance has also been improved through the review and optimisation of database indexes.
Finally, this release of CCLAS 6 includes a selection of applications that operate in HTML and no longer require a Flash-supported web browser. These applications include Job and Sample Registration, Laboratory Batching, Invoicing, and Reporting modules. This is the first time these applications have been included in the general release, marking the beginning of our transition towards a complete suite of HTML-based applications.
