This first Aegis release for 2024 streamlines your workflow.
In the Timing and Blast Managers, we have added docking windows and updated icons for holes, charges, and primers to create a unified look across Aegis. The Timing Manager now includes a ring section and a multi-select feature for primers, making it easier to manage and organise your projects.
Project locking has also been improved. Enabling or disabling the locking file mechanism now only affects the current user, allowing others on the same machine to make their own choices regarding this feature. Keeping the locking file mechanism disabled means other users can open and overwrite project files that are currently opened by the user. Regardless of the current user’s choice, Aegis will not open or overwrite existing files that are locked by other users, ensuring data integrity.
Additionally, you now have the option to select which columns in the report’s ring table are totalled. We’ve introduced a new symbol feature that takes a ring ID and an offset distance to display the coordinates. You can now show the full x, y, z coordinates, or just the x, y, or z coordinates individually, with the desired offset units and accuracy.
Furthermore, the block model evaluation feature will now remember inputs, providing a more efficient and personalised experience.
About Aegis
Aegis, comprising Aegis Designer and Aegis Analyzer, is created by mining engineers to design blasts for underground mines, including slot design and placement, charging, priming, timing, and more. With its extensive range of editing tools, Aegis Designer enables the creation of drill and blast patterns for an entire stope in seconds, allowing engineers to easily explore alternative designs. By swiftly generating customisable reports and IREDES exports, it facilitates the rapid transition of actionable designs into production. Aegis Analyzer is the most advanced underground blast analysis program globally and enables engineers to observe how changes to a pattern impact fragmentation, tonnage, cavity, costs, and profit. It is used to optimise ring patterns to maximise recovery, productivity, and profitability.
