This release includes more comprehensive documentation, custom property enhancements, support for imperial measurements, improvements to modal screens, and much more.
First, we have entirely rewritten the Installation Guide for DataBlast Pro to make it easier than ever to get started. We’ve also added a data dictionary for text reports and basic documentation of BlastPad functionality. These resources are designed to help you quickly find the information you need and get the most out of our software.
You can now create custom properties for your mine site, mine blocks, hole patterns, and holes. With multi-lingual support and the ability for properties to be user-editable or calculated, you can now tailor reports and CAD print borders to meet your specific needs.
In response to user feedback, we’ve added support for imperial measurements. You can choose between metric or imperial units, and this choice will impact the entire user interface of DataBlast. Specifications will be automatically converted when importing product configurations, ensuring a seamless transition.
We’ve also improved our support for multiple monitors. Many modal screens can now be moved to another monitor, allowing you to view your drill pattern while accessing other tools. Separate screens for the Inventory and Fragmentation utilities, drill logs, dip data, backfill data, and export options enhance your workflow efficiency.
Navigation within DataBlast has been streamlined with an enhanced quick access toolbar and customisable module selection tabs. You can now access the Fragmentation and Inventory utilities and BlastPad options via the DataBlast application menu. The new Utilities/View ribbon menu provides options to show or hide various dockable panes, maximising your viewport display. Additionally, modernised icons and a tabbed layout for the Local Settings screen contribute to a more user-friendly interface.
Our dynamic hole filtering functionality has been transformed into a dockable pane, allowing immediate filtering of the drill pattern in the Viewport. CAD viewport enhancements include a fixed CAD circle cursor, brightness control of inactive patterns when printing multiple patterns, and options to control text display based on zoom level.
The Design Module now features a Curved Hole Pattern tool, a wizard for importing drill patterns, a Single Hole Design Position tool, and automatic bootleg recalculation. These tools provide greater flexibility and precision in your design work. System administration has also been improved with enhanced export settings for Flanders ARDVARC drill systems and multi-line text fields in CAD print borders.
Finally, we’ve made installation and upgrades easier with XML format settings for database connections and exception logging, pre-populated connection string fields, and a new Reporting Database Generator. These changes simplify the setup process and ensure you can quickly get up and running with the latest version of DataBlast Pro.
