At the core of this release is the long-anticipated next-generation Datamine file format. This new format supports extended attributes, Unicode characters, and integrated metadata, while also offering the potential for reduced file sizes. It’s designed for smooth integration with your existing workflows, including compatibility with your custom scripts, and can be enabled at your discretion. These changes provide more flexibility in managing your data and improve performance when handling large datasets.
The Plots system has undergone a significant upgrade, with a focus on improving your experience when creating and refining visual reports. Featuring context-sensitive ribbons, keyboard shortcuts, and interface refinements, this rework makes plot generation more intuitive and efficient. These changes reflect ongoing feedback from you and mark the first step in a broader effort to modernise Studio OP’s reporting capabilities.
Other enhancements in Studio OP 4.0 include upgrades to managed reserves workflows, the consolidation of mining block generation tools into a single streamlined interface, and various performance improvements throughout the application. Additionally, this release requires Datamine Task Scheduler (DTS) 4.0 to export and synchronise schedule data—marking the transition from EPS to the new DTS platform as the foundation for future scheduling functionality.
