Amine 2.7 introduces a range of new features and enhancements, including major updates to the Drill and Blast and Cabling tabs, new buttons and commands for improved design efficiency, updated graphics to align with Datamine’s rebranding, and usability improvements such as an upgraded help system and enhanced reporting capabilities.
The Drill and Blast tab, formerly known as iBlast, has been significantly improved to provide a more intuitive and efficient experience. It now offers enhanced tools for designing and drafting ring layouts, generating precise drill hole patterns, and calculating explosive quantities. The interface has been modernised with redesigned icons and an optimised workflow, while new tools have been added to support key drill and blast design tasks. Similarly, the Cabling tab, previously iCable, has been upgraded with improved commands for reliability, a restructured workflow, and additional tools that make cable layout and material calculations more seamless and efficient.

Several new buttons and commands have been introduced to streamline underground design workflows. These include tools for managing layers, enhancing 3D polylines, improving survey capabilities, and optimising drill and blast processes. Notable additions include the ability to import specific DWG layers, project curves onto wireframes, measure total line lengths, create drill hole models, and annotate key design elements. Additional features like the Amine Palette, which provides a live tree-style view of layers, and a Rotate View function for better visualisation, further improve usability.
Amine 2.7 also includes updated graphics throughout the platform, reflecting Datamine’s rebranding with the red Planning portfolio colour. The help documentation has been upgraded to an HTML5 format, ensuring easier access to support materials both online and offline. Other enhancements improve the overall user experience, such as the ability to track cumulative meters in booking reports, adjust block model annotations to support negative values, and customise the confirm delete window for increased flexibility.
Before upgrading, consider saving your custom workspace settings. For detailed installation instructions and further guidance, refer to the online help.
