CCLAS EL 3.0.6.0 continues our move toward a more modern and consistent version of CCLAS EL. More of the older v2 applications are being replaced with updated v3 versions that offer a refreshed look and feel while remaining familiar and easy to use.
In this release, the Staff, Staff Groups, and Staff Roles functionality is now available in the new v3 interface. Each of these areas appears as its own option in the v3 menu and opens in the new v3 screen layout.
The new applications open inside a tabbed view, similar to a web browser. This allows users to move between different parts of the system by clicking tabs, rather than searching for multiple open windows on the desktop. As a result, switching between tasks is quicker, simpler and less disruptive.
Each application opens with a clear list of records, making it easy to see what is available straight away. From this list, users can filter and sort records to find what they need more quickly, adjust column sizes and order to suit their preferences, and open records using either a right-click option or the familiar double-click action.
When a record is opened, it displays in an edit screen that closely matches the layout used in the existing v2 system. This helps users become comfortable with the new interface quickly and reduces the need for retraining.
