Centric 2.20 introduces a streamlined release cycle, important bug fixes, and a broad range of enhancements across UI/UX, deployment, data visualisation, and integration to support more efficient and consistent use of the platform.
This release marks the beginning of a new three-month major release cadence designed to simplify upgrade planning, configuration testing, and training. By reducing the complexity of version management, this approach helps maintain alignment across teams and sites while minimising disruption. Centric 2.20 also addresses several low- to medium-impact issues identified in versions 2.17 and 2.19, providing a stable foundation for our new delivery strategy.
Key improvements to the user interface include expanded accessibility options with new low, normal and high contrast themes, now selectable from the user settings dialogue. Super, Admin and Service users can now copy selected columns from form rows using an updated context menu. Filters and conditional formatting have been enhanced with ISNULL operator support, and drop-down searches are more intuitive with improved handling of spaces, special characters, and multiple matching patterns.

Configuration and deployment updates include the option to hide the breadcrumb bar—ideal for white-labelling and embedded solutions—and a revised copy form function that generates a separate table object, ensuring data remains independent across multi-site deployments. Simple conditional formatting rules now offer additional flexibility with the inclusion of ‘Greater or Equal’ and ‘Less or Equal’ operators.
Reporting and integration features have also been enhanced. Reports can now be rendered directly in desktop widgets for easier access and presentation. Scatter plots offer new visual options such as best-fit and trend lines for more insightful data interpretation. External connectivity has been expanded through REST API integration, offering flexible authentication methods, detailed endpoint configuration, and comprehensive ETL compatibility. These enhancements facilitate seamless data exchange between Centric and third-party systems, enabling a more connected and automated workflow.
