Isatis.neo 2024.12 Public Release

GEOLOGY-Isatis.neo-2024.12

Great news for Isatis.neo users: this version introduces both new features and numerous improvements aimed at simplifying and optimising workflows, whether for geostatistical analysis, interpolation, or data management. Additionally, new Python packages enhance the functionalities offered.

Among the major updates, grade-tonnage curves and tables have been completely redesigned for greater flexibility. Users can now calculate multiple tables and curves simultaneously while having the ability to duplicate parameters across different datasets. The definition of multiple categories or domains has also become more intuitive. Furthermore, customisable tables adapt to specific needs and allow users to insert results directly into reports without requiring further adjustments. For simulations, curves aggregating results are generated automatically, simplifying the workflow.

Several technical functionalities have also seen significant improvements. For instance, negative weights in Kriging can now be handled more effectively. Similarly, geological faults are now integrated into the Quick Interpolation module, allowing better consideration of discontinuities in models.

Another major advancement involves multivariate data imputation. A new task offers several algorithms to fill in missing data, making heterogeneous datasets more usable. With this functionality, heterotopic data can be transformed into homogeneous datasets, paving the way for multivariate transformations, such as PCA, MAF, or PPMT.

The new post-processing task for simulations now allows adding additional statistical outputs without rerunning the simulations, significantly reducing processing time.

In exploratory data analysis, several new features make data modeling and interpretation easier. Variograms can be visualised by direction, while new options allow modifications to Gaussian variograms for SMU, ensuring more precise and user-tailored modeling.

Finally, this version includes tools for managing SEG-Y geophysical data and LAS logs through specific import/export functionalities. Additionally, new Python packages such as netCDF4, xarray, and pyarrow expand the possibilities for analysis. All these enhancements are accompanied by a significant improvement in performance, particularly with faster PPMT transformations.
