Isatis.neo 2025.3 Public Release

Isatis.neo 2025.3 brings major enhancements to Python integration, estimation and simulation workflows, and 3D visualisation, making your modelling processes more flexible, consistent, and geologically realistic.

Python workflows are now easier to configure and adapt, thanks to a new Python tab in the Preferences. This lets you quickly add and manage external Python modules within your project environment. Whether you’re installing from PyPI or using a local file, your chosen libraries are immediately available for use in scripts, calculators, and batch processes, offering greater flexibility, customisation, and interoperability in Isatis.neo.

This release also improves the full estimation and simulation workflow. The new Soft Boundaries tool offers a simple, user-friendly alternative to contact analysis. It lets you expand a selection defined by a mesh by a specified distance. This enables limited information sharing across domain boundaries, helping to reduce edge effects and produce more geologically realistic estimates. The Local Anisotropies task now includes a new orientation method tailored for sub-horizontal reference surfaces, along with smoother directional transitions and better numerical stability, ensuring more geologically consistent spatial continuity.

Estimation reliability is further improved with multi-variable capping within a single neighbourhood. This new feature simplifies the handling of extreme values across several variables and helps ensure consistent results in multivariate workflows. Simulation options are also more versatile, with simple kriging now available as a conditioning method for PluriGaussian simulations under strict stationarity, letting you better align your geostatistical approach with project goals.

Finally, understanding your models at a glance is now even easier. You can display variable values directly within 3D grid cells in both the 3D Viewer and Section Viewer. With fully customisable label content, layout, and styling, this feature strengthens the link between your data and its spatial contex, making results easier to interpret, compare, and share.
