Studio EM 4.0 introduces major enhancements that reposition it as a general-purpose CAD and evaluation solution, broadening its capabilities across the Studio product range.
Key improvements include the launch of the new Datamine .dmx file format, optimised for the increasing data volume and complexity in mining. This format supports up to 2048 columns with reduced file sizes, integrates seamlessly with your existing workflows, and ensures faster data handling.
This release delivers significant functional growth by incorporating advanced wireframing, modelling, and Mineable Shape Optimizer access (with a separate license). The redesigned ribbon system harmonises with other Studio products, ensuring familiarity and efficiency in your workflows. Studio EM now becomes the central platform for deploying core Studio system changes, making it an ideal companion for your resource modelling, surveying, mapping, and planning activities.
You’ll also notice a major overhaul of the plotting system, with context-sensitive ribbons for each plot item type, making reporting and layout design far more intuitive.
Enhanced 3D performance ensures smoother rendering of large datasets, and new tools such as Paint mode in Assign Lithology, the Text Importer with scenario-based configuration, and new commands like INTEXT and COMBTRI streamline common tasks. Additionally, the introduction of filled wireframe intersections (in preview) offers improved visualisation of volumes in cross section.
Please note that Studio EM 4.0 requires a new license key (Studio EM 4+) and cannot be activated with legacy keys. Contact your local Datamine office if you have not yet received an updated key to access these substantial upgrades.
