Studio EM gets a Project Data control bar with this update. Merging functionality of the Sheets, Project Files and Loaded Data bars with additional data categorization, this should make life easier all round.
Import capabilities have also seen a nice upgrade. You can now import Leapfrog mesh and project model files directly using a new data source driver, with full support for drag-and-drop into the 3D view. Additionally, a new multi-file import option allows loading multiple files, regardless of type. We have also added support for Geosoft voxel models while the Drillhole Importer now recognises more field names, reducing set up time.
You asked, we listened. We have reinstated the legacy default legend behaviour and added clearer and simpler controls in all 3D properties screens.
For design work, a new digitise-doughnut command generates closed strings with internal voids, which could be useful for representing nested geological or operational design structures.
Studio EM also now integrates with Datamine Task Scheduler (DTS), enabling clients to synchronise and animate mining sequences via EM projects.
Standardisation efforts continue across the Studio product suite with more consistent ribbon layouts, while updates to key commands such as WIREFILL, REBLOCK, and INTEXT (now supported by retrieval criteria).
Bonus content! A preview of enhanced new-string and extend-string digitising controls constrains line segment lengths, gradients and azimuths during digitising. Disabled by default, switch the mode on in your System Options screen (Points and Strings). We’re excited by this and want to see what you think – please let us know!
