Studio Mapper 4.1 introduces enhanced mapping and digitising tools, including 3D point cloud support, advanced drawing controls, and broader data import options to help you build more accurate maps with greater efficiency.
You can now work directly with 3D point cloud maps, mapping on top of survey or cavity scan data without the need for a pre-generated surface. These maps support multiple point files and can be combined with wireframes, giving you flexibility to manage large-scale datasets—particularly useful in open pit environments. Improvements to multi-file map support also let you build complex maps from multiple wireframes in a single step.

Digitising capabilities have taken a significant step forward. The new digitise-doughnut command enables the creation of closed strings with internal voids, making it easier to represent enclosed or nested geological features. For more precision during design work, early-access advanced digitising controls let you define segment length, azimuth and gradient—ideal for aligning designs with operational constraints or structural guidelines.
Data import options have also been broadened to support more workflows. You can now drag and drop Leapfrog® mesh (.msh) and project model (.lfm) files directly into Studio Mapper, with full support for mesh attribute management. A new Geosoft® voxel driver enables the import of geophysical inversion models in UBC format, commonly used in exploration and subsurface analysis.
To further streamline data handling, Studio Mapper 4.1 introduces multi-file load functionality, allowing you to import various file types—including CAD, BMF, and DMX formats—in a single operation. This makes it faster and easier to consolidate data from multiple sources into one coherent mapping environment.
