Studio Survey 3.1 delivers powerful new tools for volumetric analysis, streamlined data integration, and more precise design workflows—all supported by safer, modernised scripting functionality.
This release introduces the ROM to ROM volume calculation report, designed to help you calculate cut and fill volumes between current and previous ROM surfaces. Whether you’re tracking daily material movements, managing blending operations, or monitoring tailings dams, this new tool gives you greater confidence in your volume change assessments.
You can now import or load multiple file types in a single step, significantly improving efficiency when integrating data from various sources. Support has been extended to include Leapfrog® mesh (.msh) and project model (.lfm) files, which can be imported as wireframes using a new data source driver. These formats are drag-and-drop compatible, allowing for seamless visualisation of Leapfrog data in the 3D view. The release also adds a new Geosoft® driver for importing voxel model data, enhancing compatibility with geophysical datasets.
For greater control, early-access advanced digitising options have been added to the new-string and extend-string commands. These allow you to constrain orientation, segment length, and azimuth to meet design standards and site-specific requirements more precisely.
On the design front, the new digitise-doughnut command allows you to easily create closed strings with internal voids—ideal for capturing cavities or nested shapes within your designs.
