Aegis 2026.2 brings together improved blast timing workflows, enhanced ring design tools, expanded reporting options, and faster wireframe performance to streamline how you plan and review your operations.
This release simplifies your timing workflow by combining the Blast Manager and Timing Manager into a single, more efficient interface, reducing the need to switch contexts while setting up blasts and reviewing timing. You can now assess results more quickly with new Faster and Fastest playback options in the Simulation View, helping you accelerate timing validation. Reporting has also been extended with a new Plan View Timing window report item, giving you an additional way to present and review timing data.
Reporting flexibility has been further improved with the ability to add prefixes and suffixes to pivot labels, which are reflected across report tables and sections. This gives you greater control over how information is presented and interpreted, particularly when working with complex datasets or standardised naming conventions.
Ring design workflows have received several practical updates to improve usability and control. You can now rename holes by drawing a polyline to define their order, making batch renaming more intuitive. Polyline projections also support start and end caps, with reference lines displaying these in Plan and Long Section views. Enhancements to pivoting region generation include a new void-based model, support for using drifts as pivoting regions, additional ReDrill properties, and more reliable regeneration behaviour.
Further improvements ensure greater predictability in your workflows, including preventing unintended ReDrill when automatic ReDrill is disabled, even when modifying pivoting region types or boundaries. Performance has also been improved when working with complex wireframes, reducing slowdowns and making it easier to handle large datasets efficiently.
About Aegis
Aegis, comprising Aegis Designer and Aegis Analyzer, is created by mining engineers to design blasts for underground mines, including slot design and placement, charging, priming, timing, and more. With its extensive range of editing tools, Aegis Designer enables the creation of drill and blast patterns for an entire stope in seconds, allowing engineers to easily explore alternative designs. By swiftly generating customisable reports and IREDES exports, it facilitates the rapid transition of actionable designs into production. Aegis Analyzer is the most advanced underground blast analysis program globally and enables engineers to observe how changes to a pattern impact fragmentation, tonnage, cavity, costs, and profit. It is used to optimise ring patterns to maximise recovery, productivity, and profitability.
