Studio EM 4.2 improves performance and usability across Studio, with faster file-based processes, easier section creation, improved 3D display, enhanced wireframe tools and more consistent ribbons across products.
Several core processes now run faster without changing how you access them or requiring macro updates. ADDMOD, COPY, COMBMOD, COMBTRI, DILUTMOD, SLIMOD and REBLOCK have all been improved, with better handling for rotated block models, dilution, density fields, prototype sizing and custom field names.
You can now create multiple parallel or string-based sections directly in the 3D window, edit existing legends using the Legend Wizard, and display large numbers of cylinder-rendered drillholes more quickly. Studio EM also gains the Edge Editor, giving you precise control over string edge coordinates and orientation directly in the 3D window.
Wireframe Booleans have been enhanced (including the BOOLEAN process) with key field support, and new drillhole selection modes are now available. Additional new and improved commands for compositing, DTMs, outlines, map imports, string intersections, and selected wireframe export. See the release notes for full details.
Selection controls are now clearer on the Home ribbon, while the Edit, Report, Model, Digitize and Format ribbons have been standardized across products. This update also adds a context-sensitive Logs ribbon, RocScience Dips export, multi-overlay management and further documentation updates as part of the ongoing Studio Documentation Refresh.
