Studio Survey 3.2 improves survey string preparation, section creation, wireframe control and overall workflow performance across Studio.
The new survey-append-strings command lets you extend selected survey strings to connect with other string data for the same development feature. It updates the current string object automatically and supports complex arrangements, including C-shaped joins, helping you prepare underground development strings more efficiently. The Blast Volume Calculator now lets you specify a surveyed 3D surface as the top surface, and the wireframe-surface-merge command (commonly known as “Update DTM”) now ensures triangles align with input surface where no excavation or elevation has been detected.
On the core system side, you can now create multiple parallel or string-based sections directly in the 3D window, with flexible controls for orientation, spacing and reference points. Boolean tools also support key field filtering, giving you more control over wireframe unions, intersections, differences and extracted results.
Core file-based processes, including ADDMOD, COPY, COMBMOD, COMBTRI, DILUTMOD, SLIMOD and REBLOCK, now run much faster without requiring workflow or macro changes. The 3D window also displays cylinder-rendered drillholes more quickly, and selection settings on the Home ribbon are clearer and easier to manage.
New and improved commands support compositing, DTMs, outlines, wireframe visibility and export, string intersections and map imports. This update also extends legend editing, adds RocScience Dips export, standardizes ribbons across products and continues the Studio Documentation Refresh.
